A NON-INVASIVE SOLUTION FOR BROKEN AND CORRODED PIPES

Over time, old cast iron pipes in your home, business, or industrial facility will begin to corrode and fail. When the pipe eventually does fail, that pipe will need to be replaced. This may involve digging up the landscape, removing your floor and tearing up the slab, and even getting inside walls. Not only will this be expensive, but it will bring major damages and will take a few days to get done. Luckily, our team at Carolina Relining Solutions is fully equipped with state of the art pipe relining technology, a non-invasive solution to rehabilitating old pipes.

WHY GET YOUR PIPES RELINED INSTEAD OF REPLACED?

Sewer line replacement can take days to complete, can cause damages to your landscape and home flooring, and can result in a large bill at the end. By going with Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) relining, not only are you saving your home/building from extensive damages that may take longer than expected to complete, you are also saving thousands of dollars on repairs. That's right! Not only is trenchless pipe relining a less invasive solution, it is also a much quicker and inexpensive process.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

First, an initial inspection of the pipe is performed. We look for things like:

  • Trench rot
  • Cracks
  • Root infiltration
  • Scale build up

Once the initial CCTV inspection is complete, we will review the footage to determine what needs to be done next to prepare the pipe for relining. The next step in most cases would be to descale the pipe and remove any scale build up that will cause the pipe to clog. It is key to leave the pipe in the smoothest condition possible for the liner to be installed. A hydro jetter will then be used to flush out the remaining scale and debris from the pipe. After this is done, the pipe is now ready to be relined.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Access points for pipe relining can be cleanouts, toilet lines, and vents. The pipe liner is prepared with an epoxy resin coating and rolled into a liner drum. The liner drum is pressurized with air and a technician carefully guides the liner into the pipe. Once enough air is in the drum the liner will shoot inside the old pipe from one end to the other. Our advanced UV LED curing and camera head is pushed all the way through the pipe, ensuring there are no creases or defects. After checking all the settings on the UV curing system, the head is turned on and the curing process begins.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

Once the UV curing head is turned on, the system will reel itself back while the head rotates to ensure there are no spots left uncured. It will take approximately one minute per foot for the liner to completely cure and harden inside the old pipe. The final result is a brand new pipe liner inside the old pipe that comes with a 10 year warranty and a 50 year engineered life expectancy.
